Wistron Opens $700 Million Texas Factory to Build Nvidia AI Systems

Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Wistron has opened a $700 million factory in Fort Worth, Texas, to produce Nvidia's latest artificial intelligence systems, expanding U.S. manufacturing as demand for AI infrastructure continues to grow.

The new facility will manufacture Nvidia's GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Superchip, which powers advanced AI computing systems. It will also produce the company's upcoming Vera Rubin Superchip, supporting Nvidia's next generation of AI technology.

Expanding U.S. AI Manufacturing

According to Nvidia, the Texas plant is expected to produce tens of thousands of computing boards each month as production ramps up later this year.

The facility has already created more than 500 jobs and is expected to grow to around 1,000 employees by the end of the year.

The factory is part of Nvidia's broader $500 billion U.S. investment plan announced in 2025, aimed at strengthening domestic AI infrastructure and meeting rising global demand for high-performance computing.
