Editorial Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Global Alfa News is committed to independent, accurate, and fair journalism. This policy sets out the editorial principles that govern every story we publish.

1. Editorial Independence

Our editorial decisions are made solely by our newsroom. No advertiser, sponsor, investor, political party, or external party influences our reporting, story selection, or commentary. Advertising is clearly labelled and physically separated from editorial content.

2. Accuracy and Verification

Every fact we publish is verified against at least two independent sources wherever practical. When we rely on a single source, we disclose that in the article. We attribute claims, quote sources by name where possible, and distinguish clearly between confirmed fact, on-record statement, and analysis.

3. Sources and Attribution

We identify our sources whenever possible. We grant anonymity only when the information is materially important and the source would face harm from disclosure. We do not pay sources for information.

4. Original Reporting and Commentary

Our articles reflect original reporting, original analysis, or clearly-marked commentary by our named contributors. When we cite third-party reporting, we credit and link to the original outlet.

5. Distinction Between News, Analysis, and Opinion

News reports are held to a strict standard of factual verification. Analysis draws inferences from the reported facts and is labelled as such. Opinion pieces reflect the views of the individual writer and are clearly marked in the byline or category.

6. Conflicts of Interest

Our journalists disclose any financial, personal, or political interest that could reasonably be seen to influence their reporting on a subject. Where a conflict exists, the story is reassigned.

7. Right of Reply

Any individual or organisation named critically in our reporting is offered a reasonable opportunity to respond before publication. Where a response arrives after publication, we update the story and note the correction.

8. Corrections

See our Corrections Policy for how we handle errors.

9. Diversity of Voices

We seek out perspectives from communities and voices that are under-represented in mainstream media, both in our sourcing and in our contributor base.
