Ethics Policy

Every person writing for Global Alfa News, whether staff or contributor, is bound by the following ethical principles.

1. Honesty

We do not fabricate quotes, sources, or details. We do not plagiarise. We do not present another outlet's reporting as our own; we credit and link to it.

2. Independence

Our reporters do not accept gifts, hospitality, or payment from any source in exchange for coverage. Modest meals or travel accepted in the ordinary course of reporting are disclosed to editors.

3. Fairness

We give people criticised in our reporting a genuine opportunity to respond. We do not selectively edit quotes to distort meaning.

4. Privacy

We respect the private lives of individuals except where a matter of public interest justifies intrusion. We take particular care with children, victims of crime, and those in vulnerable circumstances.

5. Distinguishing Content

News, analysis, opinion, and sponsored content are labelled distinctly. Readers should never be in doubt about what they are reading.

6. Use of AI Tools

Where AI-based tools are used in production (for example, research assistance or transcription), the final published work is written, edited, and verified by a named human journalist. We do not publish content generated wholly by AI without human authorship.

7. Undercover Reporting

Undercover techniques are used only where the story is of significant public interest and the information cannot be reasonably obtained by other means. Each instance is approved by a senior editor.

8. Handling Complaints

Ethics complaints may be sent to info@globalalfanews.com with the subject line "Ethics Complaint". Complaints are reviewed by an editor not involved in the story.
