Fact-Check Policy

Every article published on Global Alfa News is subject to a fact-checking process proportionate to the sensitivity and scope of the piece.

1. Pre-Publication Checks

• Names, titles, and organisational affiliations are verified against primary sources.
• Dates, statistics, and financial figures are checked against the originating document (official filing, published dataset, or press release).
• Direct quotes are cross-checked against recordings, transcripts, or contemporaneous notes.
• Historical claims are verified against at least one authoritative reference.

2. Sourcing Standards

We prefer primary sources (official documents, on-the-record interviews, direct observation) over secondary reporting. Where we rely on another outlet's reporting, we say so and link to it.

3. Handling Disputed Claims

Where a factual claim is contested, we present the disagreement transparently, name the parties, and let readers see the evidence on each side.

4. Post-Publication Verification

If a reader identifies a factual issue after publication, we investigate promptly under our Corrections Policy.

5. Third-Party Fact-Check Requests
